This week saw Emerse at Baselworld in Switzerland, the largest trade show for the international watch and jewellery industry. Occupying around 1.5 million square feet across several halls, the show had over 2,100 exhibitors from 45 countries with more than 120,000 visitors and 3,600 journalists attending.

Baselworld is where the world’s top watch and jewellery manufacturers launch their new collections and where buyers from leading retailers place orders for the coming seasons. The show also generates tremendous publicity through such as fashion magazines, who are keen to identify new trends and report on the latest product launches.

Business Director Robert Whelan met with many potential new clients who were impressed with the work we have done already for Officine Panerai and for Movado for their online video advertising campaigns. Read about the Officine Panerai campaign here.

I was extremely impressed with the sheer quality and scale of all stands at the show, particularly flagship brands such as Patek Philippe. I made many contacts who are keen to embrace the power of programmatic advertising and I hope that these will bear fruit over time, said Robert.
